It's Bandcamp Friday again and to celebrate exactly a year from its initial release, we are reissuing owl.'s charity album 'family & friends' to highlight its singular brilliance and to raise more awareness of the piece.

Initial statement from owl. on the date of its release as below:

"Music gathered and recorded between 4th April 2020 to 6th May 2020

This album is dedicated to the memory of Alex Winspear who we sadly lost 13/09/2011

Alex had the idea to record pieces of music with as many people as he could in as many different styles, since then I have always wanted to do a similar thing.

He inspired me as a musician and a human and i'm happy that I managed to get so many people to be a part of this project, I think he would have loved this.

I am immensely grateful to Josh Richardson for allowing me to use a sample of a recording he had of Alex playing guitar, we recorded a fair bit back in the day but all that music was lost to college computers or in the void that is Myspace, so i'm glad there was a way he could be part of it.

All money made from album sales will be going directly to The Samaritans.

Thank-you, one and all."
